Home Groups are a central focus at GCBC. Whereas Sunday services gather us for public worship, preaching and teaching, home groups are the place for more interpersonal interaction with the following purposes:
- Spiritual Formation - growing spiritually through prayer, and Scripture
- Community Building - providing friendships and care for one another, seeking to nurture confession & forgiveness
- Mission - offering hospitality & service to others, seeking justice together, making disciples
Much more than a ‘bible study’, home groups seek to live out what it means to be ‘church’ amongst a group of known people, diverse in age, interest and background.
Typically, home groups meet in people’s homes, often in the neighbourhood surrounding the church, and are comprised of 6-12 people.
Ask a pastor or deacon if you would like to find out more or belong to a home group.
