Administrator Role Description

The Administrator supports the needs of the church using organizational and
communication skills and gifts.

Primary Responsibilities

● Responsible for answering church phone line and responding to general inquiries by
phone, email or mail.
● Provides access to the building, receiving deliveries and answering the door

● Maintain the church database (Sunergo)
● Accounts payable functions, reimbursements, invoicing, online accounts receivable
● Supports office organization, including ordering office & program supplies
● Ordering janitorial and other building related supplies
● Maintenance of computers/printers, internet services and online accounts
● In collaboration with staff team, supports the coordination and planning of events and
● Word processing and record keeping

● Maintains church website and social media presence, ensuring content is up to date
and accurate
● Managing internal and external message boards
● Publication of weekly bulletins and regular church-wide emails
● Supports sunday worship services and church meetings, including AGM’s with
annual reports
● Special publications, such as liturgy booklets

● No formal education required, experience preferred

● Administrative and technology skills including: Word, Excel, Google Drive, Zoom,
Powerpoint or Pages and basic social media operations
● Basic computer skills and ability/willingness to learn new skills as needed
● Strong written and verbal communication skills

Terms of Employment
● The Administrator reports directly to the Church Manager, while operating in a
collaborative team environment
● Part Time position: 20 paid hours per week
Base schedule: 10am-2pm Tues-Thurs + flexible scheduling hours to be negotiated
● Hourly wage: $19.50-$21.58

Benefits package includes: health, dental, life insurance (including dependent life insurance),
critical illness coverage, and long term disability. As well we offer pension matching, up to
6% into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP).
