Dear Grandview Family,

After much thought and discussion about the current COVID-19 situation, Grandview Council and staff have decided to pause our Sunday gatherings for the next three Sundays (March 15, 22, and 29), with the intention to reassess for April 5, Palm Sunday.

This decision is made not from a spirit of fear but from a spirit of social responsibility—out of care for each other and for our wider community. The advice we are receiving from experts is that social isolation is the best way to prevent further spread of the virus at this time. We are heeding that advice.

You will receive more information in the coming days, including worship resources from our pastors and educational information from our Health Team, as well as directives from ministry leads about cancellations or alterations to regular programs like ESG, Crossroads, MOMS, and CLEAN Break. You can find regular updates about our response on this web page.

If you have questions or concerns, you can email covidresponse@gcbchurch.ca.

May the Lord bless you and keep you and give you peace.

Update March 15, 2020

In lieu of a corporate gathering today, we encourage you to worship in your homes, with your families and housemates, or alone with the Lord.

  • You can find worship resources at our Liturgy page
  • You can listen to (or read) Jake Tucker's sermon for today on the Sermons page
  • You might consider listening or singing along to some of Tom Wuest's songs (Tom has written many of our home grown Grandview songs). https://tomwuest.bandcamp.com/
  • We ask you to please not pause your tithing during these next few weeks. This act of worship will enable Grandview to continue in its mission, even while its people are not together physically. You can click this link to make an online donation.

We will continue to send out Sunday liturgies each week. Look for more resources soon. May you be sure today that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
